Day 47: You can fly!

In a small twist, this week there will be 2 DisneyQuotesSongs. This song introduces The Darling Children (and us) to how Peter Pan flies and how they can visit his home in Never Land. This is also one of the most popular and used songs from the film. 

To be honest I was never a fan of the song for the longest time because of the song's pacing and how it made me want to fly too. Yet once I was older, took a second look at the lyrics and a music appreciation course, it made me start to like the song a little more because of the picture-writing they do in it with the way the sounds make you feel like you're flying.  As for the lyrics, not only do they paint a picture, they also show how easy it is to fly.  There's lots of ways we can fly, by plane, by pixie dust, by super powers. Yet the easiest way to fly doesn't require any of that, just our imaginations, thoughts, and deeds. 

Have you ever gotten the feeling like you were on Cloud 9 or been so happy you could fly if you had the ability to do it? For example, whenever I get a blog post idea and it's just too perfect it makes me so happy I could fly, the next post will be a great example. Sometimes its just as simple as making someone else happy, whether it's giving them a gift or just making them smile, it makes me that happy. It doesn't take much to get that feeling. It can happen even on the darkest of days when you don't feel like flying but sinking. Just that one moment, that little spark, can bring you back from the depths and back to your happy place where you belong.
