For this DisneyQuotesSongSaturday, I had a tough choice which of the only two songs in the movie to pick: take the villianous route with "Cruella De Ville" or do a more lighter tone with "Dalmation Plantation". As great a song as "Cruella" is, I find myself more drawn to "Dalmation Plantation" because of all the hopes Roger speaks about for their new future with all the puppies Pongo and Perdita rescued. The animation also shows just how happy Roger, Anita and even Nanny love each of their new adopted puppies as if Perdita gave birth to them herself.
This song is also very catchy and uplifting. I also love how it gives hope for a brighter future and how much room Roger wants to give them, which is seen in the tv spinoff of the same name and the direct-to-VHS/DVD sequel 101 Dalmations 2: Patch's London Adventure. One of these days I hope to have my own "Dalmation Plantation" in the sense of having a happy home with a loving husband, children of my own, maybe a Pug or two and enough land for them to roam and play. I also think everyone deserves a home like this. Hopefully yours is as wonderful as Roger and Anita's/Pongo and Perdita's. If not, I hope it will be one day because everyone deserves a happy home like that.
Until next time, Keep Cooking with Character!
