Day 10: Let us all conduct ourselves in a way we'll all be proud of tomorrow. --Mr. Willerstein

"Let us all conduct ourselves in a way that we'll all be proud of tomorrow."-- Mr. Willerstein, Meet the Robinsons

Mr. Willerstein was the science teacher in Meet The Robinsons. He said this while surveying the wrecked science fair caused by Lewis's invention that was sabotaged.

Given the current local and global events, this quote could not be more truer. When we look back 10 or 20 years from now or heck even a day or two later, will we be able to look proudly on how we acted rationally with love, tolerance and acceptance or will we be able to look back and say man I wish I could have done that differently because I was a hot-headed jerk who acted out of anger and frustration? We can each have our differences and be able to say we disagree with another without the use of violence and name calling. Just because one may not like what the other says, does for a living or even looks like, it does not give permission to use violence. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who is tired of all the useless drama and senseless violence. If we as adults can't understand why another person would stoop so low, then how can we expect young children to understand why someone would do such a thing. It is hard enough to teach them reacting with hatred and violence is not ok and not allowed, especially when that is all some kids sadly ever see be it in the home or on TV. It doesn't matter what is on the outside or what you make that really matters. What matters most is to respond with Love, respect and dignity even if the other doesn't deserve it. Perhaps one of these days if enough people act out of Love and Respect for each other, there might be finally peace on Earth and all wars would end.
Remember how we act today shapes our future tomorrow and Keep Cooking with Character!
