In this segment of Melody Time, the Narrator is introducing the segment "Bumble Boogie", an entergetic interpretation of Rimsky-Korsakov's Flight of the Bumblebee. The confused character is an adorable little bumblebee.
Like the little Bumblebee in the song, humans can be just as confused about things, like what to eat for dinner or how certain events are taking place. Humans are also constantly in flight. They could also be running from something scary or to something calming. They could be running away from somewhere they may think is bad or scary only to run into something scarier or worse, which causes them to run back to their original situation, which they may realize wasn't that bad in the first place.
Like the little Bumblebee, we humans want something more, something better and something calmer than the chaos that goes on in their lives or what they see on TV and in movies. When we are constantly in a fight or flight mode, we may not always get to see the best way out of whatever "bumble nightmare" we're in. Sometimes all it takes is finding a quiet corner and a few good deep breaths to give some clarity for a way out of it. Other times, it takes asking someone for help to get you out of that situation, no matter how trivial it may seem. Never be afraid to ask for help, or ask if someone may need help. You never know what others are going through and they too may need help but not know how to ask for it. If the little Bumblebee of this segment can do it, you can too.
Until next time: Remember it always gets better and Keep Cooking with Character!
