Day 41: If You'll Believe In Me

For this week's Disney Song Saturday post I've chosen "If You'll Believe in Me" from Disney's Alice in Wonderland. It's one of the deleted songs from the movie and sung by The Lion and The Unicorn, two characters who were also cut from the movie but are found in Lewis Carroll's novel. I came across this gem when I was looking up songs from the movie and felt like it would be a good one to use since not all deleted songs get love.
The song talks about believing in each other and that it is a two-way street.  It also talks about the reality of someone being there, talking to the other and accepting the other for who they are and both existing.  It's a shame it was not included because it's a really deep. Though with the tempo I can understand why it was cut. Yet the message of fully accepting someone and fully believing in them even if they were different. It's a song I think needs to be heard more often, especially when the world is how it is currently.
Remember, it's ok to be different and there is someone who will always believe in you, even if you feel like no one, not even yourself believes in you. As always, keep cooking with character!
