Day 62: Once Upon a Dream

Once Upon a Dream is an iconic and classic Disney song. It is also one of the very few songs in Sleeping Beauty. Princess Aurora, known as Briar Rose at this point in the movie, sings about the man who visits her in her dreams and hopes their first meeting is just as romantic in real life as it is in her dreams.

I was torn between this and her previous song "I Wonder" to write about. I'm a hopeless romantic who hopes that when I meet my soulmate it will be just how I dreamt and he will be just like how I dreamt he would be. So I decided to go with this one. Yet I also know how things work in the waking world, which is not always how dreams go, but I can dream and hope. After all Prince Phillip didn't know that Princess Aurora, his betrothed, was the girl interrupted during this song, and vice versa. 

Have you ever dreamt about someone or meeting someone then met them in real life? Did you wonder where you may have seen them before but couldn't place it? I bet it was in your dreams where you first met them but you don't remember because sometimes we forget our dreams once we wake up. It also could have been in passing several times in a busy city. No matter where we go we always meet people and the ones we are supposed to meet in the strangest of ways. Hopefully they will always be in a good way, or like something from a dream!
