Day 58: I'd like to turn her into a fat ole hoptoad.-- Merryweather, Sleeping Beauty

I'd like to turn her into a fat ole hoptoad.-- Merryweather

This is a continuation of the last quote. As The 3 Good Fairies discuss how to deal with Maleficent, Merryweather gives this suggestion. To which Fauna replies it's "not a nice thing to say" and Flora reminds her that their magic doesn't work that way and can only do good things that make people happy. Merryweather replied "Well that will make me happy." while pouting she couldn't get her way.

I'm pretty sure every one of my readers has met someone who they wanted to turn into a hoptoad or do worse things to at least once in their lives. I hope you didn't follow through like Merryweather didn't (and couldn't). The world does not need more violence or hoptoads. There's more than enough of it out in the world. Plus, prison orange/black and white stripes don't look good on anyone, no matter who they are. It may make you feel good in that split second, but in the end you'll feel regret and sadness, even if you think you can justify your reasons for doing it at the time.
If you feel you've been wronged by someone, just tell them. Hopefully a calm discussion about why you feel that way will happen from it and the wrong can be righted. If it escalates into an arguement, step back if you can and calm down, then revisit what was wrong. Violence is never the answer and never will be, because it not only hurts the two involved but also their friends and family. All you have to do is turn on the tv anymore and there's nothing but violence in the news. Very few things are happy stories, which while in the news world "doesn't sell" needs to be heard more. Luckily we have the Internet nowadays for the "feel-good" stories to counteract the sad news on TV. So hopefully that alone will be enough to stop the violence, even if it may make one temporarily feel good to hit someone or something. It's just not worth it.
So always remember, violence never solves anything and Keep Cooking with Character!
