Duchess says this often used quote along the way to Paris, after her and her kittens spend their first night out in the French Countryside far from their and Madame's home.
How many times have you ever taken a trip and said this yourself? Perhaps you've not said it yet. I know you will one day. I've lost track how many times I've said it so far.
They say home is where the heart is. Perhaps it's with your parents, wherever they may be. Perhaps it's with a bunch of friends you work with. Perhaps you've not yet found a place to make a home to call your own. No matter where it may be, you'll always find your way home.
A home is a place that should always make you feel safe and loved, It could be just you and some pets or it could be you and other people. It could be out in the countryside, or deep in a forest. It could even be in the middle of a big city. No matter where you call home, I hope it makes you feel so safe that you feel like you can do almost anything. A true home will always have people who encourage you and build you up while making you feel safe at night. Even when you and your family disagree, as people will from time to time, you'll still feel like you have a home to always come home to after you make up. What does your home look like or mean to you?
I've always considered my home wherever my mom is at. She always has a way of making me feel so safe, secure and loved by both her and my birth parents. She's also made sure I would have her full support when I decide to go looking for them and she will always be there for me no matter what I find. I cannot tell the world just how strong of a woman she is and how truly wonderful of a mother she is. Same with my dad. He always provided for us growing up and makes us feel loved by showing us the things we'll need in life or by taking care of things so they don't break down on us. They had two very diffrent parenting styles, yet they remained consistant. When one said no, the other said no too, likewise with saying yes to things. Yet, as I've gotten older, I've realized I want to create a home very similar to what I grew up in because it feels like such a perfect home and one I want to raise my own future children in and have a wonderful loving husband like she does and hopefully blog fulltime from home while raising my future children. I know I have found the place where I want to make my home. I just have to find the rest of it to make it a perfect home. I also know it will come one of these days. So until then, I'lll just keep dreaming and working to make it a reality, for all homes and realities start with a dream.
So until next time always remember home is where your heart is and Keep Cooking with Character!
