Don't stop now, Baggy! You're doing great!-- Baloo, The Jungle Book
This tasty gem comes to us right after Bagheera finishes his beautiful eulogy for one of the main characters after the final battle with Shere Khan. Again, as with Day 79 and 80, I will not post which character because I don't want to spoil it for anyone who has not seen the film.
How many times have you either been to a performance or seen a movie or a TV show that has been so good you just did not want it to stop even when they had to? Perhaps you had a friend that was telling you a really juicy story or about a movie that they really enjoyed? Maybe your TV series has gotten has left several episodes on cliff hangers and eventually gets a proper series finale (a la Charmed) or, more evilly, left the series finale on a cliff hanger that introduced the idea of peace and a new villian but was not renewed for a second season (a la The Mystic Knights of Tir Na Nog)? Perhaps your show has the cliff hangers and new seasons order but has not been able to keep up with the viewers demands because it takes time to animate a TV series (like Elena of Avalor and the DuckTales reboot). Perhaps you've seen a trailer for a new movie, series or theatre show you just have to go see but can't yet (such as Toy Story 4 or Frozen on Broadway). Both Film and Theatre leave you wanting more, a lesson well learned over the years.
Perhaps it's something more, something not as simple as watching a movie or seeing a preformance. Maybe you're one of the actors/actresses in a theatrical production and are worried if you're doing a great job or are having trouble learning your lines. Maybe you're having a hard time with school and having a hard time understanding your schoolwork or just being motivated to start it. Perhaps you're raising children and struggling to make it through the day because they're testing your patience. Perhaps you're a child yourself and having a hard time making friends or trying to figure out who you are as a person (which by the way takes years so don't worry if you've not figured it out before high school graduation). Whatever situation you're dealing with right now, you're doing great and keep going. Nothing bad ever lasts forever. You'll get through this. You'll understand it eventually, though I cannot promise you when (I wish but I can't). You'll learn those lines in time and give a great preformance. You're doing great just by being you and true to yourself. Even if you're struggling to find out who yourself really is, you're doing great just by trying to figure it out and I know you will eventually. Just don't stop trying. You never know what you're capable of if you stop trying. It's better to have tried and failed multiple times than to have never tried at all; for if you don't try you don't know what you like or can do.
So until next time, always remember you're doing great and never stop trying and Keep Cooking with Character!
