Day 130: Don't worry old fellow. It's not entirely hopeless.-- Basil

Don't worry old fellow. It's not entirely hopeless.-- Basil, The Great Mouse Detective

This reassuring quote comes to us when Basil tries to reassure Dawson that they will find both Olivia and her father after the little girl was taken like Mr. Flaversham.

Have you ever been in a situation or gone through something that seems like you will never get out of? Perhaps you're in the middle of that situation and it makes you feel like there's no hope. I know with the current situation that the world is currently experiencing it sure feels like it some days.
Yet for all it's worth, there's always hope to be found. As long as there is a tiny bit of hope things will get better, things will get better. Sometimes it gets better quickly, other times it takes a while, but it always gets better. Sometimes the way things get better is not in the way we expect. Hope and faith tend to go hand in hand and they do say having faith as small as a mustard seed can make good things grow.

Perhaps you know of someone who is going through something they feel is hopeless. The best thing one can do is just be there for them. Sometimes giving someone hope is just being there and letting them know you're there, even if you don't talk as often or know what to say. If you feel someone's in danger, do not be afraid to reach out and get them help.  They might not like you for a while, but be grateful in the end.

So until next time, keep the hope, keep the faith and Keep Cooking with Character.
