Day 154: Oh, it’s not that easy, Lumiere. These things take time.-- Mrs. Potts

Oh, it’s not that easy, Lumiere. These things take time.-- Mrs. Potts, Beauty and the Beast

This gem comes to us when Lumiere and Mrs. Potts are talking with Beast while waiting for Belle to come down to dinner. Lumiere comments that "he falls in love with her, she falls in love with him and poof the spell is broken, we'll be human again by midnight". Mrs. Potts gives him this gentle reminder that true love, the kind needed to break the spell, cannot be rushed.

Have you ever been told this? Perhaps you've said this to someone. Have you ever wanted something to happen faster than what it is?

The best things in life seem to take the longest time to happen. Very rare do they happen right on the spot. True love, like the one Beast needed to break the spell on him, did not happen at first sight. Yet it did happen over time once both Belle and Beast learned how to look past the surface of things and open up to the other. Have you experienced True Love yet? Did you have to wait for it or did it find you right away? Perhaps you haven't yet and are waiting for it to happen. Are you doing anything to help it along like looking or have you decided to let it just happen and wait for the right one for you to come along?

The best things in life also take a bit of work to make them happen. Take trying to make a successful blog or YouTube channel. For every post or video that's made, a lot of thought goes into each one. A blogger or vlogger puts a small piece of themselves into each post or video. Sometimes it takes a while to think about what to post and write about it. The same goes for a video to post. It is a little easier to do a blog than a video. With videos, not only do you have to worry about what to record, you also have to worry about what to say, how to shoot the video, and edit it. Then comes posting it and hoping that people will love what you've done and support you in any way they can, especially if you're wanting to make a living off of it. This is just one of many examples of things that take a bit of work to make them happen.

So until next time, don't lose hope if things aren't going as fast as you want them to and as always Keep Cooking with Character!
